The Weekend

This past weekend, Chris was out of town for football so my parents came to keep me company and to celebrate Hayden's 3rd birthday. Friday, we went to Siloam Springs to check out their water park. Springdale has a very nice one, but we don't go there very often because I don't want to run into my students while I'm in a bathing suit. Yuck! Siloam's park was really nice though. They actually let Hayden go down the water slide, but it scared him too much the first time. We are having a cold front right now, so it was pretty cold when you got out of the water. BRRR! Here are the boys playing in the water:
When we got back to Springdale, we went to Western Sizzlin' for dinner. We told our waitress it was Hayden's birthday, so they came out to sing to him and I thought he was going to cry. They don't sing a traditional birthday song, so I think it took Hayden a minute to figure out why they were all standing at our table clapping. When they gave him a balloon and told him Happy Birthday, he finally figured it out.
Saturday, Chris's aunt, uncle, and grandmother came up to celebrate Hayden's birthday. (They usually come separate from the actual party so they can have some one-on-one time with the birthday boy. We also had the party on Sunday this year because of Chris's schedule, and they would've had to miss church to make it) Mimi bought a cookie cake for Hayden and we all sang Happy Birthday.

Reading his "Jack and Jill" book he got from Mamaw.

Playing with his present from Aunt Ann and Uncle Ben.

When they left to go back home, we decided to take the boys to the Promenade and let them ride this little train that drives down the interior streets of the shopping center and then they played in the little play area outside.

Happy Birthday, Hayden!! I hope you had a great day!!

Tell your little man happy birthday for us. Sorry I missed it. Things have been a little crazy around here, so trust me, his is not the only one I've missed. I haven't opened my birthday book in months. I'll be better after the move. Promise =) Love your signature by the way!

Yes, Emma is my sister! She is doing great! I showed her some pictures off of your blog, and she most definitely remembered Hunter! She got a goofy little grin on her face.
