Stick Horse Rodeo

The 1st grade classes in Springdale get to participate in the Stick Horse Rodeo every year. The Stick Horse Rodeo event began about 15 years ago to teach first-graders the economic impact of tourism, specifically Rodeo of the Ozarks, which is held each summer in July. I was at a teacher workshop, so I was able to sneak away for a little while to watch my "little cowboy". Some of the events included bull riding, sack races, face painting, and relay races just to name a few. They all had such a great time!
