Upward Basketball

Hunter's 1st year of Upward Basketball ended this past week with a ceremony on Tuesday night. We had so much fun watching him play ball every Saturday morning. I have to say he is quite the defensive player. We didn't keep count, of course, but he had several steals this year. He has some work to do on his shooting, but he had so much fun and I am so proud of him. The important thing is that he made lots of new friends, learned some new bible verses, and learned the basics of basketball under the direction of some great coaches.

They got to run through this tunnel onto the stage when they called their names, but they were so fast, I didn't get a picture of him running through it. :(

I love this picture! Upwards not only focuses on teaching the basics of a sport, but it teaches the kids (and parents) to play to have fun...focusing on Christ!!!

After his last game, Hunter actually said basketball has been his favorite sport so far. (He told me not to tell dad that it wasn't football! HA!) He loved getting to play against all of his friends, he said. Here he is being guarded by his friend Nicholas.

Now we are moving on to baseball season!!!
