Love My Linebacker!!!

Hunter played Kiwanis football again this year. He absolutely loves football, but this year was a bit of a challenge. The past 2 years he has played quarterback, but this year he was a linebacker. He was very excited about this!! (I might mention that the 1st year he was QB, he would hand off and then run and tackle someone, which you are not supposed to do. The officials never said anything, so he kept doing it.) The problem was that he was a 3rd grader playing with several 4th graders. He would run straight at them, but wasn't quick enough to catch up. Dad just kept getting upset with him until he helped coach at a practice and realized Hunter had no idea who he was supposed to be following. I even showed him plays in the living room floor using candles for the players. It finally clicked, and he wasn't too bad. I still don't see him playing defense in his future, but you never know. The important thing is that he loved it! :)
