Christmas

Simplistic would be one word I would choose to describe our Christmas this year. Blessed would be another. I'm not sure why, but I just didn't feel like doing much decorating. I only got out the bare essentials, but we had a wonderful time as a family, nonetheless.
Hunter and Hayden love helping with the tree. My ornaments are all memories of something, so we love to look at which ones represent Hunter and Hayden, and sometimes mom and dad. ;)

The finished product. I am still working on my topper. I know it needs more. ;)

Photo session. Zoey did not want to look at the camera. 2 out of 3 isn't bad, is it?

We went to Chris's grandmother's (Mamaw) house the weekend before Christmas. She lives in Atkins, but we haven't seen her in a while. She was so happy to see her boys. We had a good ole country brunch.
Then we open presents. Our family (on both sides) is so small, so we all take turns opening gifts. Hunter got a new DS from Mimi. (Did I tell you that he got mad playing a game on his last one and bit the screen? WE were NOT buying him a new one.)
Hunter got a Vikings jersey and Hayden got a Steelers jersey from Aunt Ann & Uncle Ben.
My parents came to our house and stayed a little over a week, which was AWESOME!!!! I wish they lived closer. We got so much done at my house, and could not have done it without their help!!!
We always open our gifts from each other on Christmas Eve. Here are mom and dad with their gifts. The boys pass out the gifts to everyone.
I didn't take very many pictures, but one of Hayden's gifts from my mom and dad was this G.I. Joe puzzle with a picture of him with them. He loved it!!
Here are the boys with their gifts from Santa. They both asked for a G.I. Joe Pit. Hunter asked for a Saints jersey and Mario vs. Sonic Winter Olympics for the Wii. Hayden actually asked Santa for a "game for his dad" (HA), and a Raiders jersey. Santa also brought him a G.I. Joe vehicle and figure. I would say they must've been pretty good this year.

Zoey got this cute little doggie bed!! Doesn't she look so pretty in it?! She loves it!!
Hunter also got some other jerseys, video games, gift cards, money, clothes, etc.....
Hayden also got a Leapster and games, clothes, gift cards, pieces to add to his train, etc.
I got clothes, tanning sessions, XM Radio, camcorder, boots, etc...
There are many more things that we got, just too many to mention......
Our family is so blessed!!! God is so amazing, and we do not forget what Christmas is truly all about!!! Jesus is the reason for the season!!! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas as well!!!
