My Competitive Child

Yesterday, I took the day off work and went to have Mother's Day lunch with Hunter at his school. My menu options were cheese sticks or turkey and dressing, so I just decided to go sit with him while he ate lunch. (You guys know how picky I am, and I wasn't gonna take a sack lunch to eat with my child. HA!) He was so excited~he even ran up to me, jumped up, and wrapped his legs around my waist as he hugged me. (He told me about another kid that did that last week to his mom, but he hadn't seen her for 2 weeks)
He was being goofy for pictures. This was the best one. I think he heard us making a big deal and laughing about Hayden's funny faces from the aquarium, so he thought he'd try it out too! :)

This is one of the cards he made for me. I just found out that the pictures are of DADDY'S school mascots on MY Mother's Day card. In the bottom right corner, it says, "I tried to make Shiloh." Hmmmm! Shows you who his favorite is, huh?

Here's a gift for Mother's Day,

I'll try my best in every way.

But if you get upset with me,

Relax and soak and drink some tea!

Don't you agree?

Love, Hunter

He drew a picture of me in the bathtub (lovely, huh?) and included some green tea, and bath salts. Pretty cute idea, huh? I thought so!

Last night, Hunter was invited to a sleepover/birthday party at his friend Holt's house. Holt is the boy in black above. Apparently, at the party there was a challenge to see who could stay awake the longest. I'm not sure who won, but I know when Chris went to pick him up at 10:00 am, they could not wake him up. Chris had to go get him and carry him to the car. Holt's mom said he had just gone to sleep about 30 minutes before Chris picked him up!!! 9:30am!!!!! Needless to say, it is 3:30 in the afternoon, and he is still sleeping! Chris said he was sitting in the floor with his head on the couch...passed out! I'm not sure who won, but I think he went as long as he could go! (I'm not sure where he gets his competitiveness! HA!)

Chicken!!! I had the cheese sticks and they were better than I thought they would be but nothing to blog about:). I was a little nervous about eating there though. I get anxious about the trays more than the food. Weird. It was great to see you there though.
