Snow Days

We have been out of school for 4 days this week because of snow, and the roads still aren't clear.  We now have to go to school 2 extra days!  UGH!!  It's nice now, but when June gets here, there will be a lot of disappointed students (and teachers).  We are expecting more snow this week also. 

Well, my 4 day snow week started with this Monday night. I was playing volleyball, and went up for a block.  The guy I was blocking next to somehow brought his elbow down into my eye.  Isn't it lovely?  At least I didn't have to go to school for 4 days and explain this one to my students.  HA!! 

When it snows, my boys have no intentions of going outside and playing in the snow.  I'm ok with this because it just creates a big mess when they come inside.  However, I do not understand it AT ALL!!  I remember having snow ball fights, making snow angels, building forts, making snowmen, etc.....  It was so much fun!!!!  They have no desire whatsoever!!!  It makes me sad that I have cousins in Texas who would give anything to have snow to play in, and my boys sit inside like it's nothing!!! :( 

We did have to get out of the house by the 3rd day just to go somewhere, but this is the only time they were out in the snow.  (Hayden is throwing a snowball at me.)

The boys are back in their wrestling phase, so they take all of their wrestlers to my bed and play.  This week, they also used all the pillows to build forts for their wrestlers.  What creativity!!!  :) 

Last night, the Haney's came over to play and spend the night!!  The boys were SO EXCITED!!!!  They were so happy to play with someone other than each other!!  They have definitely missed their buddies!! 

Well,I'm really hoping we don't get any more snow for now, and that the sun will melt all this snow off the streets.  We are going to the Haney's tomorrow night for our annual Super Bowl party with all of our coach's families!!  I guess I am cheering for the Steelers!!
